Dr Michael Kerr



Areas of Specialisation
Dr Kerr provides anaesthesia services across most areas of surgery but has a particular interests in regional anaesthesia and acute pain management.

Professional Experience
After completing his medical degree at the University of Queensland in 2009, Dr Kerr worked extensively in emergency medicine throughout rural and regional Australia and internationally. He returned to Brisbane to complete his fellowship at the Princess Alexandra hospital in regional anaesthesia and acute pain.

Dr Kerr continues to work in the public sphere at both QEII Jubilee Hospital and Princess Alexandra Hospital. His private work sees him working regularly at the major private hospitals across the greater Brisbane area, including Greenslopes Private Hospital, Mater Hospital, the Wesley Hospital and St Andrews War Memorial Hospital.

His interest in regional anaesthesia extends to teaching registrars and consultants at workshops and meetings and participation in international specialist groups.

When not at work, Dr Kerr can often be found with a fishing rod in his hand, enjoying time camping or cooking with friends and family.
